Retrofit24
Building Centre, London
Client: Building Centre

The Building Centre is a hub for the built environment, providing a platform for the exchange and development of knowledge. Established in 1931, the Building Centre is unique in representing and bringing together the different disciplines that form the built environment industry.

The exhibition focuses on meeting net-zero targets and increasing climate resilience, the solution being to decarbonise the UK’s real estate with some urgency. Retrofit 24 demonstrates how to achieve improvements in energy efficiency across all sectors, through examples of recent commercial, cultural and civic retrofit projects.

Taking inspiration from commercial building typologies the exhibition focusses around a central structure with a saw tooth roof. The structure is built using a metal framing system kindly sponsored by Knauf and provides three distinct areas to house the commercial, cultural and civic retrofit projects.
